Life on the Farm

For those of you that were sitting around thinking "if I had the opportunity to watch the birth of a calf right now I would like to see that". Well your in luck this slide show is for you.
Every year for the 4th of July we go up to Julies Grandparents farm in Idaho. We were all sitting on the front porch after eating a way yummy grandma dinner, and watching a cow in grandpa's pasture trying to have a calf. It became apparent at one point that this cow needed some assistance, so grandpa corralled her in a pin and I got to help pull the calf out. The kids didn't know what to think. After explaining what had happened, and then watching the calf get cleaned up and eventually walk, all seemed to be right with the world again. It may look kind of gross, but it turned out to be a really neat experience.
