I am the assistant scout master for our local troop and we went on a campout to a place called Goblin Valley. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend it. Goblin Valley is located in Southern Utah and it is a great place to go when it is still cold in Salt Lake City. The weather was so warm in February it felt great since we left snow on the ground in Salt Lake. Jake came with me and we had a great time. We went on a 10 mile hike through a really cool slot canyon. We then went over to the actual goblin valley and the rock formations are so unusual that you just stand in awe as you look at them. Jake is sitting on one of the rock formations and there is a picture of the whole Goblin Valley which contains 100's of these rocks both big and small. At the time we went to the valley there were no other people in the Goblin park. The scouts decided that they wanted to play capture the flag down in all the rock formations. Being the adults that we are we decided to take them on and it was just like being a kid all over again. It was sooooooooooo much fun.
